The first from the entrance to the chapel we will see the song "Noah's Intoxication". When Michelangelo worked on the Sistine Chapel, he neglected consistency. However, the author decided to act in his own way, and the visitor to the chapel was the first to see “The Intoxication of Noah.” An incoming person sees Noah, who is sleeping, and next to him a son makes fun of him.
In the center we see the naked Noah, who lay down to rest. A boor who is standing, turning away from the viewer, points a finger at his father. The viewer sees that Michelangelo decided to show the sin of Ham, who dared to laugh at the naked drunk father.
The painting occupies almost the entire dark room, which is located under the roof. On the left, we can see a small gap in the depth of the room, which sparkles with silver shades. The artist wrote Noah guided by the principle of opposing movements. We can see that the hero extended his right leg, bent his left knee, lifting it at the same time, the protagonist extended his left hand, and bent the other, as if creating an additional fulcrum for his naked torso. His three sons have light figures that are clearly visible on a dark background. In contrast to the youngest figures, Noah has not a lifeless, although devoid of feelings body. The sons gestured animatedly, as if talking to each other. We also see an old man in bright red clothes, who digs up the ground with a shovel.
According to biblical legend, the three sons of Noah, Shem, Japheth and Ham, came down from the ark with their father. Their father became a farmer - cultivating the land, he planted a vineyard. Having received wine at random, having drunk it a little, he got drunk and fell asleep. Ham saw a sleeping drunk father. He immediately ran to the brothers to tell them what he had seen. They covered his father with clothes. Noah answered him with curses. The eldest and middle son received the blessing of the father and the prediction that the eldest son in the family will always have real faith, and the children of the middle brother will take faith from the elder children.
